Is a used Peugeot e-208 hatchback reliable?

The Peugeot e-208 is a generally reliable car, according to our 2023 What Car? Reliability Survey. It ranked 10th out of 20 cars in the electric car class, due to its reliability score of 91.2%. It proved more reliable than the rival Renault Zoe and Vauxhall Corsa Electric but less reliable than the Mini Electric.

Electrical issues were the biggest cause for upset with the e-208. Overall, 31% of the cars reported on had a fault, and 23% of them were with the electrics. The positive news is that Peugeot paid for all remedial work, the not so good news is that 60% of cars took more than a week to fix and 20% were rendered undriveable by their faults.

As a car brand, Peugeot ranked 21st out of 32 manufacturers. Its overall reliability score of 90.5% placed it above Renault, Vauxhall and Volkswagen but lower than Ford, Hyundai and Kia.
