Used test: Audi TT vs BMW Z4 verdict

Our verdict

The BMW Z4 makes for an impressive grand tourer. It’s relatively spacious and comfortable, plus it also cruises quietly with the roof up. However, even though it looks like a stellar sports car on paper, it doesn't quite perform as you might think. Its dynamics are poorly resolved and it fails to truly entertain when you drive it with any gusto. 

It's actually the less traditional Audi TT that proves the more resolved sports car. It feels much sprightlier and more composed along a winding road and, as such, it's great fun to drive. Throw in the fact that, with the roof down, it’s also more relaxing to be in than the Z4. All that makes it our convertible sports car of choice.

For More agile and fun to drive; better roof-down comfort; top-notch interior
