Used test: Audi Q5 vs Porsche Macan vs Volvo XC60 verdict
These prestige SUVs all look great value at five years old, but which of them should you actually buy?...
Our verdict
The Porsche Macan lives up to its badge. It's the quickest and most fun car here to drive, not to mention the ride is impressively refined and the interior of a good quality. If you value you the joy of driving, you could consider stomaching its added buying and running costs. However, the difference in cost among its two rivals remains substantial, and its limited practicality isn't doing it many favours, either.
As such, it's pushed back to third, behind the much more spacious Volvo XC60. It's the better all-rounder than the Macan, although the incredibly refined Audi Q5 is even better. From its good interior quality to its pleasant driving manners, this is a large SUV that impresses in most areas, with few notable faults. It takes the win.
