Best cars for less than £150 per month

City cars, family cars and even SUVs: they're all available for less than £150 per month. Here, we round up our favourites...

Dacia Duster front

These days, the vast majority of new cars are bought on PCP finance deals. That's great news for car buyers, because you could end up driving something that was initially out of your budget.

You might think that for just £150 per month, your choice of car would be extremely limited. But our list contains city cars, family cars and even a spacious SUV.

Here, we count down the top 10 deals from our Target Price research, which reveals the most you should pay for a new car. Each deal is based on 15% of the value of the car, combined with the manufacturer's finance discount allowance. All are for three years and with a 30,000-mileage limit.

Mazda 2 1.5 75 SE+

Mazda's smallest model offers a top-notch interior and a very economical range of engines. Its infotainment system is easy to use, too, and most versions come well equipped. It may be less satisfying to drive than the class-leading Volkswagen Polo, but it's significantly cheaper to buy.

8. Fiat Panda 1.2 Pop

Target Price cost per month £108 Target Price (on the road) £9698 The deal Three years at 0% APR

Fiat Panda 1.2 Pop

The Panda may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but it's still an appealing city car, thanks to its cheap running costs, funky looks and the availability of four-wheel drive should you need it. We think rivals such as the Kia Picanto are better all-rounders, though.
