Used Mercedes-AMG GT 2016-2023 reliability

This is a long, low and, in parts, difficult to see out of car, so do check the front and the rear of the AMG for any obvious signs of bumps and prangs. Bodywork is expensive to repair, remember. It’s worth checking underneath, too, for any signs of off-road action that might have been accrued in an excess of enthusiasm over driver ability. Check the alloy wheels for any signs of kerb damage, too.

These cars will have been used by owners who drive their cars quite hard, so make sure all the paperwork tallies with mileages and service intervals. Only buy with a full service history. Any obvious signs of excess wear, from the alignment of the wheels or bodywork, or excess noise or smoke from the exhaust, should issue you a warning.

So far, reported problems are few, and owners seem happy with their cars.

Mercedes as a brand finished in a rather disappointing 24th place out of 32 manufacturers in the survey, though, with an overall score of 89.8%. This placed it above Audi, Jaguar and Land Rover but below nearly all of its familiar rivals.
