What should I look for in a used Citroën C3 hatchback?
It’s too early for us to have sufficient reliability data on the C3 to point out any common problems, but with cars this new, it’s important to make sure the service schedule is up to date so that the warranty hasn’t been invalidated.
As the C3 is a small car that’s most often found in an urban environment, it’s also worth checking the bodywork for scuffs and scrapes, and making sure the alloy wheels haven’t been subjected to heavy kerbing – if they have, it could point to damage to suspension components under the skin.
It’s also important to check the interior thoroughly for cracked or chipped plastics or staining – as the little Citroen doesn’t feature the most robust of materials, an errant toddler’s toe can leave its mark.
