Read full BMW iX1 reviewThe BMW iX1 is a practical choice and its performance is impressive, especially if you go for the four-wheel-drive version, the xDrive30. However, it's let down by a firm ride and so-so range between charges. Put simply, there are better electric SUVs available for the money. If you do buy an iX1, the xLine trim makes the most sense while the eDrive20 model has the longest electric range.
The trim

The engine
