13 December 2021 – Can I see clearly now?
I’m not alone in liking the look of our Vauxhall Mokka-e. Friends and neighbours have commented on how handsome it is too, and I think this admiration is enhanced by its vivid but rather likeable green paintwork. Even its stance is purposeful, especially when compared with its Mokka X predecessor, which looked as though it could topple over even at a standstill.
However, it’s not so much what I can see from outside the car that’s been worrying me as what I can't see from the inside.
Although the seating position is relatively low for a small SUV if you like to have the seat in its lowest setting, visibility fore and aft isn’t bad. It's the view to the side that's troubling me. The Mokka-e has a large, thick 'B pillar' that sits right where my head is when I have the seat set the way I want it. Inevitably, this can be a bit of a problem at junctions. It's something I'll have to, er, keep an eye on.
