Used test: Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet vs Range Rover Evoque Convertible

Fancy soaking up some winter sun? We're pitching a used Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet against Range Rover's unusual Evoque Convertible. Read on to find out which you should choose...

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio

Our Verdict

The Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet wins because it’s more enjoyable to drive, has a bigger boot and is cheaper to buy and run.

While the Range Rover Evoque Convertible offers head-turning looks, a spacious interior and good resale values, it can’t match the C-Class as an all-rounder. Although the top-heavy handling balance may not matter when you’re cruising, the small boot, firm ride and sluggish performance relegate it to second place.

1st – Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet

For: Cheaper to buy and run; better handling; bigger boot; faster

Against: Pokey rear seats; heavier depreciation; firm ride

Verdict: Our pick here, although softer suspension would make it better still
