Used test: Ford Fiesta ST vs Volkswagen Polo GTI verdict
Buy either of these hot hatches at a couple of years old and you'll save a pretty penny, but which is more fun and better value? We have the answer...
Our verdict
The Fiesta ST is more agile and more fun than the Polo GTI, and barely costs any more to run, so for us it's a clear winner. The Polo GTI may be comfier and classier inside, but it simply isn’t as good a hot hatch.
It's worth noting, though, that if anything the previous-generation Fiesta ST was even more fun than this latest one. If you don't mind having an older car that's done a few more miles, it's also well worth considering.
