Used test: Audi TTS vs Porsche 718 Boxster S verdict
These drop-top sports cars are both seriously tempting when you see how affordable they are used. But which one is the better buy?...
Our verdict
We’ll make no bones about this, the Boxster is the best two-seat roadster at its price point new, and bought at this age that still remains very much the case.
If you’ve saved hard to buy yourself either one of these two weekend toys and you’re hoping to make the most of the UK’s drunken roads and changeable weather, then the Boxster is definitely the one that will put the biggest grin on your face, despite it costing you a little more to buy. The TTS is a fine roadster in isolation, and wonderful value for £20k, but the Boxster is a bit of a used car bargain. It’s our choice here.
