Used test: Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs BMW M3 verdict
Buy either of these two great four-year-old performance cars and you're in for treat, but which one should you put on your driveway? Read on to find out...
Our Verdict
Both performance cars are enthrallingly fast and extremely fun to an almost equal extent. The BMW M3 is immensely capable. With plenty of punch and grip on tap, it never feels lacking. Combine this with awesome, polished, sharp handling and it's easily a fantastic buy. We adore it, but we adore the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio even more.
The Giulia is the M3 turned up to 11 with a cherry on top – that being its truly astonishing twin-turbo V6 that's not only very powerful but also awesomely charismatic. It's even more fun and engaging to drive than the M3, and its performance is stunning.
True, it's interior isn't quite as practical or high quality as the M3's, but the Giulia is more smile-inducing everywhere you go. When you factor in its greater comfort and refinement, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is our winner.
