8th April - And if you're looking for a way out
Regular readers of these updates will know I’m rather fond of this quirky Alfa Romeo Giulia of mine.
True, I'm finding the diesel engine a little grumbly, and having driven petrol-engined Giulias in the past, I wonder if I would have been happier with one of those. And I do have to stick the car in its Dynamic driving mode rather than its Normal one to insure I can pull out of a side turning without my hair turning grey, such can be its initial lethargy, but neither of those annoyances can sway me in my passions.
However, while it’s true that I can never wait to get into my Alfa, I never envisaged there would be problems getting out of it. For some reason, the front door aperture of the Alfa Romeo Giulia is particularly small, so if you have your seat set back and the steering wheel out a reasonable distance, it’s a mighty effort to haul yourself through the available gap between the wheel and the door pillar. Perhaps the car is fond of me too and so doesn’t want me to leave?
