Toyota Approved Used Car Scheme
Every manufacturer has a used approved scheme to tempt buyers, but what do they all offer and how do they compare? We'll show you in this handy guide...
Toyota makes some of the most reliable cars up to five years old, according to our most recent reliability survey.
Any used car bought through the Toyota scheme gets a 12-month, unlimited-mileage warranty, one year’s UK and European roadside assistance, a 120-point mechanical check, and a full service history guarantee. What’s more, the scheme covers used cars up to eight years old and with a mileage of 100,000, making it very attractive.
Toyota also provides a free of charge hybrid health check when servicing is carried out by a Toyota centre. This unique offering in the industry provides further peace of mind by covering the vehicle battery for a further year after each service. This provides warranty cover on this component to a maximum of 10 years of age (after vehicle registration date) and has unlimited mileage. Owners also benefit from warranty cover that includes wear and tear for batteries, exhausts and wiper blades for the first 3000 miles or three months (whichever comes sooner) of ownership. This also includes replacement car hire for up to five days and hotel accommodation for up to £150. This is in addition to the package offered by Toyota Roadside Assistance mentioned above. There is also the option to purchase a 2 year extended warranty package. Finally, a warranty for the MOT test is also included which covers the cost of repair or replacement of any parts should the car fail the MOT.
