More style, space and connectivity
The first change on the All-New Focus is a distinctive new look – giving a bold, sporty edge to the classic Focus form, with alloy wheels as standard. Inside, the streamlined ‘fluid’ interior design is simple, cleaner and easier to use, while a panoramic roof, electronic parking brake and a rotary gearshift dial add a premium feel.
Ford Pass Connect gives you even more choice for navigation, traffic updates, music, calls and texts, with a 10-device embedded modem, wireless charging and SYNC 3 smartphone connectivity with pinch, swipe and voice control on the 8-inch touchscreen. An advanced 675-watt B&O Play audio system is available, with 10 speakers and a 140mm sub-woofer. You can even connect to your car remotely, with the FordPass mobile app.
The All-New Focus is more spacious, too, with more shoulder-room and rear legroom, and up to 1,620-litres (VDA) of load capacity in the All-New Focus Estate. That load space is easier to use, with a hands-free tailgate, higher boot height, one-pull easy-fold rear seats and a storable tonneau cover.
More engaging to drive
Ford has always set the handling benchmark in the hatchback class, and the All-New Focus is no different – with 50% stiffer suspension allied to Force Vectoring Springs from the sporty Fiesta ST.
Ford Stability Control with Torque Vectoring Control adds an extra degree of driving confidence. An all-new and more powerful 1.5-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine joins an improved 1.0-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol and new, more efficient and refined EcoBlue diesels in the engine range.
Industry-first EcoBoost three-cylinder deactivation, advanced turbo-charging, and high-pressure direct fuel injection – mean this engine is not just more powerful, it’s also 10% more efficient.
An intelligent eight-speed automatic transmission and electronic power-assisted steering with torque steer compensation give you finger-tip control, while Continuously Controlled Damping and Pothole Detection keep the ride refined.
Technology that keeps you safer
A wealth of technology features on the All-New Focus make long motorway journeys and stop-start traffic easier and more relaxing. Improved adaptive cruise control features Stop & Go, Speed Sign Recognition and Lane Centering Recognition to lend a helping hand, while an incredibly wide and bright head-up display keeps your eyes focused on the road.
Adaptive Front Lighting, Predictive Curve Lighting and Sign-Based Lighting adjust the headlights for oncoming traffic and the road conditions, while parking has been made easier with a wider 180-degree rear camera, Cross Traffic Alert that spots unseen cars and pedestrians, and even hands-free, fully automated Active Park Assist 2 and Park Out Assist.
The crash structure of the All-New Focus is 20% stiffer with 40% better front crash protection, but Ford has also introduced technology that helps you avoid accidents – including Automatic Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Evasive Steering Assist to aid emergency lane changes, and an electric brake booster that builds pressure faster.
Even more choice
Finally, the All-New Ford Focus is available with a wide choice of trims and body styles to suit your style and taste. The sporty ST-Line sits 10mm lower on its unique springs, dampers and stabilisers that have deliver more engaging handling, while a larger rear spoiler and diffuser are the standouts in a series of bold signature tweaks that mark the ST-Line out from the pack.
The Focus Active features rugged SUV stying and 30mm higher ground clearance, along with additional ‘Slippery’ and ‘Trail’ driving modes, while the Focus Estate offers even more load space and legroom.
Last, and certainly not least, the stylish Focus Vignale features a wealth of premium design flourishes, high-quality materials and technology that adds an air of luxury to the All-New Focus range.
