New Lexus NX vs used Range Rover Sport: verdict
Two plug-in hybrid SUVs battle it out: the brand new Lexus NX and the hugely prestigious Range Rover Sport, which is available for similar money if you buy used...
Our verdict
With its luxurious interior, fantastic driving position and strong resale values, the Range Rover Sport has plenty of substance to back up its undoubted style. However, it has an Achilles heel: reliability.
By contrast, Lexus excels in this area, plus the NX 450h+ has a superior hybrid set-up – both in terms of the electric range it offers and how smoothly it operates – and is still a classy and practical choice. In short, it's the better all-rounder and the more sensible buy.
