myenergi has been announced as the official EV sponsor of the 2023 What Car? Car of the Year Awards.
The partnership will see the renewable energy tech specialist – best known for pioneering the world’s first eco-smart EV charger – sponsor the Small Electric Car, Large Electric Car, Electric SUV and Plug-in Hybrid categories.
The What Car? Car of the Year Awards has a 45-year history and is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the UK’s automotive calendar, with the 2023 ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair on 19 January.
Steve Huntingford, editor, What Car?, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with myenergi. As a company dedicated to helping people go electric, its values chime perfectly with the aim of these What Car? Car of the Year Awards categories.”
Jordan Brompton, co-founder and CMO, myenergi, added: “At myenergi, we’re renowned for pushing the boundaries when it comes to eco-smart home energy technology. It’s this commitment to innovation and development, along with our wider ambition to protect the energy systems of tomorrow, that sees us continue to operate at the forefront of the industry.
“As a celebration of innovation, inspiration and outstanding achievement, sponsoring the What Car? Car of the Year Awards is therefore highly important to us. Taking on the EV sponsor title reflects our commitment to further accelerating the national transition to electrification and highlights our ambition of being the charging device of choice.”
In addition to the four electrified car winners, the 2023 Car of the Year Awards will see What Car? name the best models in a host of other categories, before revealing its overall Car of the Year. Winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Mayfair, on 19th January.
At the 2022 ceremony, that honour went to the Kia EV6, which had already been named best electric SUV.
