If you’re after a four-seat convertible that won’t break the bank, the Mini Convertible is certainly your best option. Even so, we find it hard to recommend this Cooper S version. While it's quick, it’s much less fun than the similarly priced (but two-seat-only) MX-5.
We’d recommend saving your money and sticking with the regular Cooper version of the Mini Convertible. It may not be as fast, but its performance is still respectable, its handling is better and it’s more frugal.
