2015 Seat Alhambra facelift revealed - engines, specs and pictures
Facelifted Seat Alhambra MPV will be powered by more efficient engines and is set to arrive in dealerships in May...
The Seat Alhambra was named the best MPV for over £22,000 at the What Car? awards earlier this year, and details of a facelift for the people carrier have now been revealed.
What is it?
This is the facelifted version of Seat’s MPV. It’s set to arrive at dealerships this summer. It gets subtle cosmetic changes, which include a fresh grille design, new wheel designs and new LED rear lights.
What engines can I choose from?
There are three engines available: a 2.0-litre diesel engine with two power outputs and a 148bhp 1.4 TSI petrol engine.
The 2.0 TDI will be offered with 148bhp and 182bhp power outputs, and the lower powered version has a claimed fuel economy of 57.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 130g/km. Seat’s DSG gearbox will be available with all engines.
How much equipment does it come with?
The Alhambra comes with a blind spot monitoring system and adaptive chassis control as well as an autonomous braking system that prevents further collisions after an accident. Keyless entry and start are available, as are massage seats.
How good are its rivals?
There are lots of good cars in the MPV segment, like the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso and the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, but the five-star Alhambra is a real stand-out model that sets the benchmark for the rest of the class at this price point.
How much does it cost?
Full pricing will be released closer to its launch date, but it could be priced similarly to the current Alhambra which costs from £25,630 to £32,420.
Can I get a discount?
Our Target Price team has found discounts of around 10% across all models in the current Alhambra range, so the facelifted version could offer up similar savings after its launch.
